Standard Sizes of UK Brochures

We often get asked ‘what is the standard size of a brochure in the UK?’ 

The answer is that there are several typical sizes for brochures rather than a single set size.

The typical brochure page size in the UK is A4 or A5.

So why are these 2 finished sizes of a brochure so popular?

The posting of them is one of the causes. In the UK, conventional C4 envelopes are 229 x 324 mm (9 x 12.8 inches) and C5 envelopes are 162 x 229 mm (6.4 x 9 inches), all of which are designed to contain A4 or A5 documents.

The way brochures are printed is another factor. The sizes of brochures are also determined by printing processes and paper sheet sizes.

Nonetheless, the impact brochures have is the main justification for their size. Consider a high-end item to help me explain. To properly present luxury goods, the page size must be appropriate.

A tiny brochure would not have the same impact as one that was larger.

So the next size up of an A4 brochure would be a 12 page A4 brochure, then a 16 page brochure and so on.
The size of A4 brochures will then go up in sets of 4 pages, which again are an A3 sheet folded.

The total number of pages in a brochure is always determined by the initial volume of content. The number of pages is then determined as the brochure is being produced, depending on the brochure's design and style.
